Spring 1956. The Great Riot occurred on the eve of the Hopkins vs. MD lacrosse game. The riot began during a pep rally when a bus carrying a jazz band took a tour around the bowl at Charles Street. This image was collected by Mame Warren for her book Johns Hopkins Knowledge for the World, but was not used.
