Abstract
Forrest Tobey is a composer, conductor, and a double-degree graduate of the Peabody Institute. He is best known as a computer music artist, and created the Virtual Orchestra software. His compositions were played in Times Square on New Year's Eve of 2000. In this history, Tobey discusses his career as a conductor, music, and the Peabody Institute.
