Richard Henry is an Academy Professor in the Zanvyl Krieger School of Arts & Sciences at Johns Hopkins University, where he is also Research Professor in the Henry A. Rowland Department of Physics & Astronomy. He is also Director of the Maryland Space Grant Consortium. He earned his Ph.D. at Princeton University in 1967. In this oral history, Henry discusses his early interest in astronomy, the trajectory of his career, and the beginnings of the Space Telescope Science Institute at Johns Hopkins University. Research Professor Paul Feldman has been affiliated with the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Johns Hopkins University since 1967. He is principal investigator of a NASA-supported sounding rocket program and has been responsible for over three dozen sounding rocket launches. Feldman received his PhD in physics from Columbia University in 1964. In this oral history, he discusses how his interest in astronomy developed and some of the highlights of his professional career.
