Abstract

Gregory Ball was a professor in the Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Johns Hopkins University and also served as Vice Dean for Science and Research Infrastructure in the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences. He played a major role in the creation of the neuroscience undergraduate major in the 1990s. In 2014, he was appointed Dean of the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences (BSOS) at the University of Maryland, College Park. In this interview, Ball discusses the history of the department of Psychological and Brain Sciences and its relationship to other parts of the university.
